A day spent stampin' part two

The other two projects we made at Karen's were a pouch made from Bashful Blue and the Scallop Envelope Big Shot Die.  We used a Sale A Bration set for the Yummy on the front and Designer Series Paper and ribbon from the SAB offerings.  For the last project we made a notebook cover.  I think this one we will make at a stamp camp so the picture will have to do for now.

Spendin' the day Stampin'

Today I went over to the other side of the world to my up-upline's house and spent a very enjoyable day doing what I love to do, talk about stampin', look at other people's stampin' and do a little stampin' myself.  We made 4 projects and each one was cuter than the other.  I also got to try out a few new stampin' goodies.  More on that later.  Here are two of the projects we did, a pouch/bag that uses the Juntos Designer Series Paper from the Spanish catalog and Pocket Silhouettes.  And my favorite project, a 3x3 card that uses Baja Breeze, Bella Rose DSP and the Eastern Blooms Rub Ons.  I love the Chocolate Chip of the rub ons with the Baja Breeze
Thanks Karen for a fantastic day.

Where did the week go?

I can't believe it's Friday and ten o'clock at night to boot.  Thought I would quickly post the card and technique page we made at the all new Technique Hostess Club.  Six of the nicest stampin' friends a girl could ever have came over and made a beautiful card using the emboss resist technique.  They also made a technique page to match in case they needed to refer back to directions later.  I had so much fun I wish it was already time for the March meeting.

A second Technique Hostess Club is ready to start and is waiting for you!  We will meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month, contact me today.

Sale A Bration celebration

A special thanks to all who showed up at the Sale A Bration celebration.  Just a quick picture of the projects that were made.  Both use the SAB stamp set Polka Dot Punches and Congrats. I love the Polka Dots Punches because of the compatibility with our punches.  Makes card making a breeze.  Both projects also used the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper and the ribbon on the bookmark is from the SAB Ribbon Bundle.  10 yards of two different ribbons makes this one of my favorite SAB sets.  Between the ribbon and the Delicate Dots DS Paper I know I had better place a few more qualifying $50 orders to stock up.

Love you "owl"ways

Everyone who knows me knows I am a big fan of Girl Scouts.  I am currently co-leading a 2nd grade Brownie Troop of 10 adorable girls.  I enjoy every Thursday I spend with them.. We had a Valentine craft party and I wanted to show you what I made for each girl. They love punch art and so do I.  Every one of them said thank you right away when I passed them out.  I used the Curly Label Punch for the head and the Scallop Circle Punch for the body and a second one cut in half for the wings.  Attached them to a heart sucker with a glue dot.  And on a side note if you need Girl Scout cookies be sure and give me a call or email me we have plenty of extras to sell.

Captain, we're taking on water!!!

On Sunday when all the snow was melting our sump pumps quit.  Of course we didn't know the pumps quit till there was an inch of water covering the entire basement.  We have been cleaning and mopping like crazy.  So I am going to show you a close up of one of the Valentines today.  Also be sure and check out my SU! site, there is a new video on there, very informative.

The card uses two wheels, one standard size and on jumbo wheel.  Funky forest was a wheel I had to have the moment I laid eyes on it and So Swirly is a very versatile wheel.  You can't beat the price of a wheel in my opinion, they can cover a lot of space in a very short time!

Don't forget that I am having an open house on Sunday the 15th from 2-4 using the new
Sale A Bration sets.  Also the Techniques Hostess Club starts Tuesday the 17th.  We still have one more spot left.  Contact me today to be the one to join.  See the post further down for more info.

More Valentines

More Valentine stampin' today.  I was blog hopping the other day and stumbled upon a blog by Holly Vandnye.  Today's cards were inspired by some of her postings.  I love to look at other people's blogs, they inspire me and give me great ideas.  Sometimes I see an idea and it sparks an idea I saw somewhere else or gives me a totally different idea. Enjoy today's cards and I hope they inspire you to make a few cards just like them or something that has been hiding in your creative mind for a long time.

Changing lanes...

When you make cards different situations come up and you have to be able to change how your brain thinks in a matter of minutes.   Today I had to take a break from my Valentine cards and make a card for my nephew who is having surgery to repair a badly broken collarbone and then a sympathy card for a family member.

The card for Charlie was a fun one that just kept going and going in my little pea brain.  I used Boatloads of Love and the little dinghy stamp is my favorite in that set.  The clouds are embossed in White and so is the heart.  Each set of waves is cut out and layered.

The sympathy was CASED from someone on Splitcoast, at least I think that is where I saw it.  I went back and searched and couldn't find the card that I saw and used for inspiration.  I used Organic Outlines and embossed the image in black and then cut into 4 equal pieces, layered on Very Vanilla and then Basic Black.  The card base is Kiwi Kiss.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Oh the weather outside is frightful...
But I'm stampin' inside!  Here is a card I made with the texturz plates and the new Level One Hostess Set God's Beauty. Kaylee actually stamped the butterfly I just did the rest.  Gave my uni-ball Signo Gel Pen a workout that's for sure.  The card base is Tangerine Tango, texturized with the SU! exclusive Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1.  6 exclusive plates for $11.95 and all absolutely beautiful.

New Toy

I got the Big Shot Texture Plates delivered the other day and finally got a chance to play. After a few tries I figured out how to dry emboss the front of a card.  Just the front. The results are stunning. Here is the sandwich I used.
Multipurpose Platform, Tab 1, extra piece of card stock (shim), Texture Plate, card stock card, Silicone Rubber Pad and the Impression Pad.  I let one side of the card, the back side, hang out of the front of the sandwich and wheeled it on thru.
