The BIG picture
Here is a picture of the non scrapbook projects I made minus the ornament string that started the whole obsession with this kit. In the following days I will post close ups with explanations if needed. I still think this is the best $19.95 I have spent in a long, long time.

Just a quick side note
Just a quick side note of other things that go on in my life. I have a daughter, she is 21 and a very talented photography student. Won't you please go to Capture Cincinnati and vote for one or all of her photographs, please? She has made it on to the DVD for 2 years in a row and really wants to make it into the book. Strange thing is this all depends on you, not her fantastic photos, but on her popularity and her ability to get votes. So won't you please click here and register and then click on the Yes, I dig it button on top of her photos to vote for her.

More new goodies
The Medallion Background Stamp caught my eye when I first saw it on the front cover. So it had to be on my first order. I had an idea in my head right from the start and the card I started to make was nothing like the card I ended up making. I used Bermuda Bay as the card base and ended up using Basic Black as the compliment. Who knew that the Rhinestone Brads in the Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads on page 179 would be so striking with this color combo. I used the sentiment from the Hostess Level One set Holiday Best framed by the Scalloped Oval Punch. Did I start out to make a Halloween Card..... no. Do I like how it turned out......yes, very much.

New Goodies
Well my favorite UPS man, Owen was here promptly at 11 and brought me my package of new catalog goodies. Before I go play I had to show you the ribbon sampler ring I ordered. Have you ever wanted to order ribbon but you weren't sure of exactly what the ribbon looked like from the catalog description? I am such a visual person I had to get this ribbon sampler ring to share with all of you. Only one problem, now I want all of the ribbons. Are you in the New Richmond area? Well then email me to set up a time for you to come look at all of the beautiful ribbons yourself.

3x3 Friends
Floating around on the interweb as my Mom calls it is a cute flower that reminds me of the popular Prima Flowers. Not only are these flowers expensive they often don't match the project I'm working on. So by taking the Scallop Circle Punch and snipping here and there, a little sponging of the edges, a little work with smooshing petals and there you go an adorable flower that matches your project like only Stampin' Up! can.
