Sympathy card for Betty

My daughter lives in a condo and the lady who lived below her just passed away. I made this sympathy card to send to her family. I used Poppy Parade, a color I am going to miss when it retires in May. My favorite set, Teeny Tiny Wishes provided the sentiment, I don't know how I ever stamped without this set. The embossed butterflies are all popped up on dimensionals, I used the tiny pieces that are left around the edge. Waste not, want not.

Leadership Make n Takes #2

I loved this Make n Take, it looks so pretty sitting on a shelf. Super simple to make too. The insert was made with My Digital Studio which you can try for free for 30 days. Stampin' Up! gave us the insert and we added the extras. I got the frame at IKEA and it is perfect.

Leadership Make n Takes

Finally getting around to finishing my Make N Takes from my Leadership trip to San Antonio TX. This card uses chipboard from the On Board Merry Medley on page 191. It is covered in Very Vanilla and distressed in Tea Stain from the Distressing Kit. The three flowers are from the Blossom Builders kit in the Occasion Mini on page 18. In fact we used the Blossom Builders set on almost all of the Make n Takes. The flowers down the side are from Mixed Bouquet and the sentiment is from Loving Thoughts. Some buttons from the Brights Designer Buttons in the center of each flower and you are done. Very easy but very cute.

Happy Valentine's Day

Tonight we are having friends and family over for Chicken/Feta Burgers and I wanted to share the present I made for my DD roommate. I took a small glass votive candle holder and stamped on it with White Staz On using the Mixed Bouquet Stamp set. I did two sides and let it dry for a bit and then did the other two sides. I used my heat tool just a little as I have cracked glass in the past when it got too hot. I also took the Kraft Boxes from the Occasions Mini and using the Hearts Framelits die cut a heart out of the front and put a window sheet on the inside. A couple of strips of Candy Cane Christmas Fabric and a bow made out of Real Red Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and it looks very nice and didn't take any time at all.

Today is the last day to enter to win my winning card. Order $25 or more and get an entry. And don't forget Sale A Bration is going on and with every $50 order you get a free item out of the Sale A Bration catalog.

Still Quilting

I love to make quilt cards and when the Sale A Bration catalog came out and I saw the DSP, Everyday Enchantment, I feel head over heels in love. Who wouldn't love such beautiful paper especially when you get it for free! Seriously, I love SAB time. I restock all of my card stocks and adhesives and treat myself to some of those stamp sets I haven't gotten yet and then on top of all of this stampin' goodness I get to pick out free stuff. It's the best time of the year!!!

This type of quilt card is so easy to make it is almost embarrassing to explain. Punch out squares and arrange using your grid paper to keep it all straight. I actually glue it right down to my grid paper and when I have the proper size I just cut around the glued down squares, grid paper and all. I used the Top Note Die and my Big Shot to cut out the shape and then ran it thru again in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to give it a textured fabric quilted look. The base of this card is Melon Mambo, such a happy color.

Don't forget you have till Valentine's Day to get your order in to be included in the drawing for the chance to have the Winning card come to your house.

Stampin' for my Girl Scouts

Today we will have our weekly Girl Scout meeting and I am going to give them a Valentine treat and so is Kaylee. I made them Owls out of the Pillow Box Die and several punches. I cut off the top and bottom of the die so that I could cram and I mean cram a package of conversation hearts inside. This project needed a lot of sticky strip to hold it all together, sticky strip is wonderful to hold things together that are under a lot of stress.

Kaylee used the Heart Framelits and using the Big Shot made two layered hearts and wrote her message to the girls. The heart reads; " Our troop would knot be the same without you". She always attached a friendship bracelet to the hearts. I know this afternoon there will be some happy girls when they get these goodies

Don't forget the contest to win my winning card, place an order before Valentine's Day and you will be entered to win. Details in post below.

The winning card

I entered a contest at Leadership where we were to use a set from the Occasions Mini and make a card. I entered several cards and one 12 x 12 scrapbook page and I won !!! I have never been so excited in my entire life and that is saying a lot since I won a car when I was 15 1/2, well actually my Mom won because I was not even old enough to enter. Anyways, SU! kept the card and I came home and had to recreate it to show anyone who was interested and a couple of people who weren't interested but that is their problem not mine.

So I made 3 copies, one to keep in my Stampin' Sanctuary, one to send to my new Leadership friend Meg and one to give away. So, are you interested in owning your own copy of this card ? You can enter the giveaway by placing an order of at least $25 by Valentine's Day. You will earn an entry for each $25 in merchandise you order. You may call, email me your order or just order online thru my site. Any questions just ask. Don't forget it is Sale A Bration time, the best time of the year, where every merchandise total of $50 earns you a free item out of the Sale A Bration catalog. I had extra catalogs here if anyone needs one. Good luck and happy stampin'.
