My Digital Studio first card

In My Digital Studio you can pick a template or totally design a card on your own. I added the brads under the "stamped image" and let MDS do the rest. I think this card is adorable.

Where have I been you may be asking. Well, I got a copy of Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio and I have been playing. Even being as computer illiterate as I am I got the hang of this program right away. I even installed it myself! So I am going to show you a project I worked on the first day. It is a 6x6 page. My kids are at the base of the tree and my niece and nephews are in the tree. I sent this in to the SU! printer and I can not wait to get it back.

As promised

Yesterday I said I would show you something fun to do with the Circle Brads that are on sale this week. It took more time to try and get a good picture than it did to make the brads. I sure hope for my birthday I get a new camera, hint, hint.

In the first picture I used the Frost White Shimmer Paint and using a sponge dauber I put a shimmer on the brads. They look so much better in real life. The center brad, the one peeking, is a regular brad, the other two have the shimmer paint on them. Stampin' Up! carries three different colors of shimmer paint and you can see them in the Holiday Mini catalog. Don't have a catalog? Email me and I will get one right out to you. The picture above is the Circle Brads that I "colored" in using Crystal Effects and a drop of Bashful Blue reinker. I used a toothpick to drop the color into the groves on the brad. Heat with the heat tool and there you have it, colored Circle Brads.

Demo Meeting

Part of the perks of being a demo is having meetings with your fellow demonstrators. Tonight I am going with my downline to the other side of the world and meeting up with other demonstrators. We are having a shoebox swap, we each made a card and then bring the supplies for the others to make the card. I can hardly wait. My card is a very untraditional color combo for Winter but I have a new spool of Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grosgrain and I love using it. The snowflakes are from Winter Post and the words on each snowflake are from Four The Holidays, a set you can find in the Holiday Mini.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as a tribute to my sister Cindi, I have put together a kit featuring the RIBBON OF HOPE stamp and the THANKFUL THINKING stamp set both from Stampin' Up!.

Autumn Wreath

When I saw the wreath in the SU! IB&C on page 92 I knew I would make one of these but on a smaller scale. So using the Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper and the Leaves #2 Original Die in my Big Shot I played with leaves and made this wreath. I held it all together with mini glue dots and just kept playing till I liked the results. I hope you found some time this past weekend to play too.
