For Barb
A dear friend of mine is in the hospital so of course I had to buy her a little something and make a bag for it and a card too. Bag is super simple to make out of 2 pieces of 12x12 Designer Series Paper. Card is called a circle spinner card, subscribed to ustampwithdawn and got the idea there.

Nancy's Birthday
Yesterday was Nancy's birthday and I made her a card and a cute little birthday cake from a tea light. No calories in that, right? The tea light was covered in Sticky Strip and then covered in the fabric roses that are no longer available. I used one of the boxes from the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes and shortened it and wrapped it in the Designer Series Paper, Birthday Bash.
The card uses the Mosaic Punch and the Designer Series Paper, Birthday Bash. I popped them up on Dimensionals to give the card some depth. And the Large Pearls were the perfect touch for the middle.

Cutting apart wheels
When I saw the new catalog I was immediately drawn to the Shop Now Jumbo Wheel. It was one of the first things I purchased and when I got it out of the box I took it right to my Stampin' Sanctuary and cut it up into 6 stamps that I mounted on SU!'s cling mount foam. Not hard to do and for $8.50 I now have 6 stamps that I will use way more than one wheel.
Cutting the stamps up really made me look at the images and I was so pleased to find a quirky photographer image among them. My photographer daughter is a bit quirky and I knew I had to make another thank you card for her business with my new found stamp. The photo is horrible, sorry, I need to hire a photographer!
The card is the size of a notecard but I used Naturals White which is a heavier cardstock.
Have you ever cut up any of your wheels or unmounted them?

New Stamps + new paper = Thank you cards for new business
My daughter and her friend both graduated from college with a degree in Photography and have launched a business, Double Exposure Photography. They are both very talented photographers and extremely nice people. It is hard to make a go of it in the photography world because everyone with a cell phone thinks they are a photographer and I guess to some extent they are.
I got the new Designer Series Paper I Am Me with my daughter in mind and just had to bust it open and use it right away. I layered the DSP on a notecard and then a piece of Basic Gray and then my stamped images in Whisper White. Now they have thank you cards when they need them and I got to use my new stamps and DSP. Win, win!
Here is the link to their Facebook page if you need great photographs done by professionals.

Washi, not Sushi
I have discovered Washi Tape in a big, big way. Quick post to show you one of the cards we will be making at the Washi Tape class. You will walk away from this class with 2 cards, a 3-D project and an idea sheet of more Washi Tape ideas.
