Jacob the Peacock
I live in New Richmond, or actually up the hill from New Richmond and down by the Ohio River lives Jacob the peacock. I am not sure where Jacob came from but he wanders around the whole village at his leisure posing for photos and occasionally pecking a kid or two. He does not like kids looking him at eye level, he is a male after all and he thinks he needs to protect his harem of ducks and geese who also are down by the river.
I made this card using the Peacock single stamp and the Works of Art stamp set. I think I like how it turned out, I think I would have liked it better if the colors had been more of a jewel tone. Maybe next time. I softened the edges with my Aquapainter and that really softened up the card. The ribbon is the new Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin Ribbon, seriously easy to tie and so beautiful.

August Paper Pumpkin Spoiler Alert!!!
I got my August Paper Pumpkin Kit today and it is adorable! Sure hope they have refills for this one!
Don't look any further if you want to be surprised I had to make 2 cards right away!
The first card is one to send to my cousin who is recovering from surgery and went together in just a couple of minutes.
The second card is a smaller card it measures about 2 1/4" by 3 1/4" and would be so cute to go with a gift bag. I made this one a little differently than the directions you get with the kit. I enclosed the sequins and a few Coastal Cabana hearts form the InColor Sequins inside of a couple of pieces of Window Sheets. Kind of a quickie shaker card.

Both of these cards come with their own envelopes that you get to make too. What a crafter you will be with this month's Paper Pumpkin.

I can't keep up!
You know sometimes how life throws you a curve ball and you duck and just keep on going? Well life has thrown me several curve balls this week and it is messing with my stampin' time. I am sure you don't want to hear my tale of woe but the latest one is just cruel. Nevermind that the hot water heater went out 2 blessed days ago and I have been pretending I am camping, not to mention I don't really like camping but the topper of all toppers this morning was THE COFFEE MAKER BROKE !
OH MY WORD, that's all I can say, is OH MY WORD. If this is a test then I am gonna fail. DO NOT MESS WITH MY DAILY DOSE OF COFFEE !!!
So excuse me if my mojo has left, I did get some good news My Paper Pumpkin is shipping so I have that to look forward to in the upcoming week.
I did play with an awesome tutorial and made a Pentagon Box. Maybe tomorrow I can get it together and post a photo or two. But in the meantime here is another card I made using the Good Greetings Hostess Set. Stay tuned to see how you can get this awesome set for free!

Good Greetings Hostess Set
I earned, insert here, GOT FREE, a new hostess promotional stamp set call Good Greetings from SU! and sat down the other day to make a Christmas Card with it for another contest SU! is having for it's demos. If they chose one of my cards, I have made 3 so far with this set, then I can win a stamp set of my choice. I have had my eye on the new photopolymer set, What's Your Type but then again I have my eye on a lot of sets.
This card uses the Kinda Eclectic and A Fitting Occasion in addition to the Good Greetings stamp set. Watch for more information on how to get the Good greetings set for your own.

A Night On The Town
Today's card is an anniversary card that uses a sneak peek of an upcoming Hostess Set, Good Greetings. It is so new I don't even know how to earn it yet, but stay tuned and I will let you know as soon as I know! It also uses the photopolymer set Calling All Heroes which has this awesome skyline in it. This is my version of a polaroid card using a window sheet behind the On Film Framelit. It also uses my new favorite color Blackberry Bliss one of this year's InColors.
We will be making this card on August 19th at my house along with two other cards so let me know if you are interested and I will send you the details.
