Last Club
Last night was the last club rotation and some people won't be returning. I am sure going to miss our group, we have been thru ups and downs, highs and lows and just life in general together. We meet for lunch and laugh, we laugh while stampin' and just generally have a good time together. I am taking a small break from club and will start again in September with a new twist I will be adding an online component to club. So if you are interested in a club in person or online where once every 6 months you get to be the Hostess and get all of the Hostess Benefits shoot me an email or post here in the comments and I will get in touch. I kind of feel like I need to make myself a sympathy card even though we say we are all getting together for lunch I have serious doubts it will actually happen.

Where does the time go?
Since moving Mom in with us time just seems to fly by and I don't seem to get anything done. I am currently sharing my stampin' space with other stuff including 6 growing chicks who lately have been very noisy. Can't wait till they move outside and start laying eggs! Nothing like eggs that were laid that morning by your own hens. We have been missing our own eggs since the neighbor's dogs decimated our flock down to one hen and she is so traumatized she isn't laying anymore, poor Penelope. We got her a rooster friend and they are finally getting along although Penelope is definitely in charge!
So I can't believe a new catalog year is starting so soon, in just a few days. I wanted to show you a card I made with the Naturals Composition Designer Series Paper, item # 126917 $ 9.71 that is currently retiring and on sale. I have a Hostess Code for those wishing to order, CWCCMVN2
I noticed last night that they have added a few good things to the Clearance Rack so you can add those on too.
On to the card, I used a piece of Naturals Composition Designer Series Paper and my Aquapainter to pick up color from the top of the lid of Blackberry Bliss one of the new InColors. This color will be available on June 2nd along with 4 other new colors. I love them all. Anywho, I washed the Naturals Composition Designer Series Paper with the color and when i had it to my liking I let it dry and buffed it with a paper towel to bring the embossed aspect of the paper to life. This is so gorgeous in person, I also did one card using the same DSP using White Craft Ink to whitewash the focal point.

Going to Lexington
On Monday I am going to Lexington to see, are you sitting down, the NEW CATALOG. That's right one of the many perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demo is getting to see new things first. We not only get to see an Academy Awards type live event we get to bring a NEW CATALOG home with us. I can not begin to explain how excited I am. OF course where there are SU! Demos there is swapping. I used a set that I hadn't used lately, Blue Ribbon and loosely cased the current catalog and came up with this card.
It uses Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana. I will be devastated when these colors retire next year.
Did you happen to notice the Tea Dolly behind the "ribbon". That was tough on my OCD self, it bugged me to no end that I could not make them exactly symmetrical. But in the end I think they turned out just fine. If you are going to be in Lexington for the NEW CATALOG reveal come find me I would love to swap with you!

Hexagon Hive Thinlet Playtime
Playing this week with the Hexagon Hive Thinlet Die. Used it as a stencil, embossed and over the top of itself on Coredinations Cardstock. Some of these are cased from blogs but I don't recall from where, been a crazy week here. If you see a card that looks like one of yours please let me know.
