Shake it up!

Today has to be a quick quick post.  I really didn't even have the time to type quick twice!  We did this card at club last week and we were all successful in creating an adorable shaker card using the ever so easy to use Stampin' Up! Shaker Frames.  The frame is covered in a Window Sheet and has Dazzling Diamonds on the inside.  Since the Shaker Frame has adhesive on both sides it is super easy to create.
Don't forget you have 4 days to spend $40 and get a free spool of Satin Stitched Ribbon in the new InColors.  The Back to Spool Promotion ends on September 30th.

Fall is here

Fall is here and it seems that the leaves are turning already.  I love collecting beautiful leaves and putting them in bowls in my house until my allergies kick in and I have to take them back outside.  As I was doing my daily walk today with my friend Jean, I spotted a beautiful leaf and stopped to pick it up. She told me of a great idea she had seen where you gather up fall leaves and send them to a friend who lives in a place where the seasons don't change.  Here in SW Ohio we can get 2 or 3 seasons in the same week!  So today's card is a changing seasons card to celebrate Fall.  It is one layer, sponged using a mask and then run thru the Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  I used the stamp sets, French Foliage and Trust God,  two of my favorites.  My husband looked at it and said it was high quality art, so I decided to send it to his high school friend Mary who lives in Florida and will miss all of the beauty of a SW Ohio Fall.

Happy retired Birthday

Being the sometimes bad wife that I am I almost forgot my husbands birthday.  Good thing I have a daughter who loves birthdays and always keeps track of  who is having a birthday.  I made this card in a matter of minutes and it was one of those cards where I started with no clear direction or plan but I really like the way it turned out.  It uses the Woodgrain Embossing Folder which I love for masculine cards and I actually am challenging myself to make a feminine card with it as soon as I get a chance.  The alphabet I used on this card is a retired one that actually worked quite nicely.

Staggered Triple Time

Just a quickie today, I have more things to do today than I have time to do them.  I love the look of Triple Time Stamping and think it can make some awesome cards.  This one uses all blues, my least favorite color and the stamp set Fine Feathers.  I love this set and got it for free with my Hostess Dollars last month.  Finally got a free moment to use it.  I saw this idea used with French Foliage on another demo's blog but can't remember now whose it was.  If it was yours please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.
I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder after I had stamped and before I layered.  This has to be the tightest Embossing Folder I have ever used.   I didn't use any tabs and it still made such a deep impression that I had trouble separating the pieces and then getting them back onto the layers.  Has anyone else experienced this with this Folder?

A Rare Sunday Post

I don't often post on Sunday, that is a day I try to spend doing things I want to do.  Today this involved watching football while stampin'  Imagine that, I spent the day stampin'.  Well I also made an egg custard pie and let Miss Scarlet out a million and one times and looked at some cars online Cody wants to buy but I spent the majority of my day watching football and stampin'

I purchased the Simply Scrappin' Kit, Razzelberry Splash, because I love the colors in that kit.  Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzelberry, Pink Pirouette and Night of Navy, what's not to love?

I have a fascination with 3-D projects and this one turned out fantastic if I do say so myself.  I saw a video on Frenchie's blog and tried to make a box following her instructions.  I didn't catch that she gave a crucial measurement saying it was one measurement and then she said the correct measurement later.  I wrote down the first measurement she said and could not get the box to work.  BUT I went back and watched her video again and voila! I finally figured it out.

By now I am sure you are saying come on woman, shut up and show us the box, so here it is.  If you would like to make a box like this with me all you have to do is buy the Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin' Kit from me in a separate order, not in conjunction with a Club Order, and we will get together as a group and make this box, maybe more than one!   If you  aren't local to me I will send you a detailed pdf with instructions.   So send me your order by Friday, September 21st at noon and I will get the order placed.  Feel free to add other things you might need to complete this box.  I used Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Natural Buttons, Faceted Buttons, Glimmer Brads, Whisper White Baker's Twine and the Lovely Labels stamp set and the Jewelry Tag Punch.  I also used  a lot of glue dots and dimensionals.  I have no objection to you ordering other things from me as well, order away!!!

Two more days left to get your free Halloween Project Kit

It's always more fun to stamp with friends! If you sign up with me by September 16, you will get a Howl-o-ween Printer's Tray project kit absolutely FREE-a $60 value!  I made my kit and if I do say so myself it turned out very cute.  I changed a few things to make it fit the photos I wanted to highlight.  Every year all of the cousins get together to carve pumpkins and have their photo taken in Mimi's tree.  It is a huge colorful maple tree that some have climbed and some have fallen out of.

If you want a kit for yourself contact me immediately and we will get you started on becoming a member of my team, The Log Cabin Stampers.  Joining is easy, the starter kit is $99 and has free shipping.  In return you pick $125 of SU! merchandise  to be enjoyed as you see fit.  This kit has no obligation to continue as a demonstrator and is such a good deal.  I love being a SU! Demonstrator.
