Convention News

Inspire, Create, Share 2014 wraps up today and SU! has been very generous in providing live streaming of the opening sessions for the past two days so all demos, far and wide, can join in on the fun.  The sneak peeks could possibly be in my top 3 favorite things about being a demo, first is the friends I have made thru stampin', second is my discount and freebies I get and third is all of the sneak peeks I get.  Well SU! being the wonderful company they are said we could share the cover of the Holiday Catalog with you. And yes, just the cover.   It doesn't look like much now that I have seen the inside but maybe it will tide you over for a while.  If it doesn't than maybe you need to join my team and be a demo with great perks yourself!!  Closing session is this afternoon and I will be over at Kaylee's with her blazing fast internet and her huge computer monitor so see what else is in my future stampin' fun.

Don't forget the Paper Pumpkin Event is tomorrow at 2, if you haven't RSVP'd you better do so today!   Lots of fun prizes and a chance to play with the June Kit.

Happy Birthday Nancy

Man did I mess up.  I missed a very important birthday of a very dear friend and stampin' partner in crime.  You know the one who loves stamps as much as you do and can talk stamps with you all day long and then do it all over again the next day?  Yep, that's Nancy and I missed her birthday.  I do have a good excuse I have way too much going on in my life at the moment.

Nancy loves butterflies and the newest set I had with butterflies is Kinda Eclectic which I just got last week and have fallen head over heels in love with the images in this set, so many possibilities.  I also used #Hello which set it off very nicely.  I used Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey cardstock and stamped on Very Vanilla.  I love this card but then again I am a little eclectic too.

Happy Birthday Tyler

Another day of running in store for me and Mom. I have a big order being delivered and although I know it will be brought into the house safely and put on the table it will drive me crazy not to be going thru it!

Today's card is for my nephew' birthday.  He likes things that move and fit into each other so the Circle Thinlets make a card that is perfect for him.   I love the paper in the Flashback Designer Series Paper, it sure has a masculine flavor to it and of course it has cameras so I had to buy 2 packs of it.
I used the stamp set,  #SoSocial for the inside, perfect for a 20 something.

Don't forget Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper is on sale in July.  Buy 3 packs get one free that is a 25% off savings.  Remember if you spend $150 and pick the Nuts For You stamp set, we will get together and make yesterday's card together or I will mail you the tutorial if you are not local to me.

So without further ado here is Tyler's Birthday card ...

Nuts About You

Not much time to chat, just wanted to show you some adorable cards I made that have a tab that opens and reveals a greeting.  It used Coastal Cabana, Soft Suede card stock and Chocolate Chip and Smoky Slate Ink.  I embossed the front panel with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder which gives it an adorable real life texture.  The stamp set is a Hostess Set,  Nuts About You, only available with a $150 order that makes you eligible for Hostess Rewards.  Put in an $150 order with me and you can come stamp with me and make one of these cards or if you aren't local to me I will send you a tutorial so you can make one of your own.

Living the river life

We live about 4 miles from the Ohio River and we love to go down and watch the river go by.  Today was a special day in New Richmond the American Queen came to visit.  Mom and I went down to watch it dock down by Hausserman Park, there was a Dixieland Band playing and the American Queen played calliope music.  A lovely time down by the mighty Ohio.
Don't forget that today has new Weekly Deals available and 2 new photopolymer sets have been released and a sneak peek from the Holiday Catalog is available for purchase today too!  Order online and use Hostess Code  DJQHYG77.
Call or email with any questions or to have me put in the order for you.

Grandpa, hold me!

We were waiting for the fireworks to start down in the village on the Fourth and our grand dog, Lincoln got scared and had to sit in his grandpa's lap.  Lincoln weighs about 45 pounds but thinks he is a lap dog.

He also got scared in the morning during the parade when they shot off a cannon.  Never heard a cannon shot off in the village before.  Sure hope Kentucky doesn't think they are under attack!

Gettting ready for the Know How To Fold 'Em Class on the 15th of July.  I have 2 spaces left if you want to attend, $20 to make 3 cards and I even have a bonus card that I cased right from the SU! catalog.  The flower card was inspired by Patsy Waggoner and the other cards were inspired by Deb Valder.  I had to make changes to make them work for me, sometimes I wonder if I am measuring challenged.  Contact me ASAP if you would like to attend the class.

Life is Good

I bought the Project Life stamp set Remember This on page 27 of the 2014 Catalog just for the saying "Life is Good".  Ok, maybe not just this saying but  "Life Is Good" is my favorite saying in the set.  I stamped the Corner Garden stamp in Night of Navy, an often neglected color in my ink collection and the sentiment in Night of Navy as well.  Layered it in the Silver Foil Paper and layered that on Night of Navy.  Very simple but very pretty.
