Peace On Earth

Just a quickie post to show you a card that incorporates the Stampin' Up! window sheets. I also used the new set out of the Holiday Mini, Four the Holidays, which is stamped on the inside of the card and is visible thru the window sheet. That is Baroque Motifs, page 131, on the front of the card along with a silver embossed snowflake from Snow Swirled on page 36. All of the images in the Snow Swirled set are beautiful embossed.

Trick or Treat Build a Bear

I have been having a great time using the Build a Bear die for the Big Shot. Just like playing with the Betsy McCall paper dolls in the back of the magazine. Remember those ? Maybe I just dated myself with that comment but I am die cutting bears and clothes and just having a grand time. SU! sells a die called Kooky Spooky that makes the cutest pumpkin and witch costumes for the bears but I didn't buy it and was kicking myself big time for being such a tightwad!!! Well I had had great success making pumpkins with the oval punches Stampin' Up! sells and decided to try my hand at making a bear pumpkin costume. Take a look and let me know what you think. I know some Brownies who are going to enjoy them.

Inspired by Betty Gillespie

Yesterday I mentioned that I had a card appear on the SU! site in the Stamper's Showcase and today I was inspired by a card I saw there created by Betty Gillespie. Her adorable scarecrow card was shown and I knew before I had even had my second cup of coffee I wanted to try it out. Of course, as all of us stampers know we have to put our own twists on each and every card we see. I made two cards and as it turns out my Mom liked one of them and I liked the other. Take a look and let me know which one you like.

Stamper's Showcase

Just a little post to blow my own stampin' horn. I sent in some cards to a Stampin' Up! contest and one of them was picked to be on the Stamper's Showcase. Now this means I didn't win the contest but I did actually make a card and send it in to the contest!!! Big progress for this stamper. You can see the card that appeared on the SU! site here.

Oh My Word

I can not believe it is September and today is our first Brownie Meeting of the year! So much to do and so little time. My Mom is now staying with us till she is feeling better and then we will reevaluate. I have had so many Stampin' Events going on I can hardly catch my stampin' breath. Please be patient while I readjust my day and have some time to call my own again.

The Holiday Mini is out and fabulous. You have a chance to earn not one but two Hostess Sets. Thanks to my stamp campers that met for the Christmas is Coming Stamp Camp I earned both sets. Look out for some stampin' with these two sets!
Maybe we will use them when we meet at Passage Bookstore on the 4th Tuesday of the month, September 22nd. I announce the color family we will be using and all you have to do is show up with those colors and I do the rest of the work. Last month we made two cute cards using Bold Brights and the Very Thankful Set. Contact me for more information.

I will try my best to post a few projects we made at the stamp camp for you. Until then, happy stampin' !
