Last month at club, I gave the 6 members a challenge to complete by this month's meeting. Each person got a quarter sheet of the same Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, a button and a piece of ribbon from the Ribbon and Button Pack. All of these items are free items with Sale A Bration. I told them they could make whatever they wanted with the supplies.
We had four entires and the ladies voted on a winner. It was very interesting to see what they came up with when they all started out with the same supplies.
Annette's cupcake holder
Nancy's Change of Address Card
Cathy's Pinwheel Bear
Barb's True Friend Card
The cupcake holder was a lot cuter with the cupcake in it. But our evil cat Sunshine ate the cupcake while it was in a plastic bag. I left the room for a minute and when I came back he was in the plastic bag with the cupcake licking the frosting off. Bad kitty.
Which one of these cards would you have picked as the winner? You can leave a comment with your vote and I will award the winner with a pack of Silver Glimmer Paper. One vote per person please!
Wow! Stunning creations. Your group of ladies were certainly up for this challenge. Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteWow! You have talented customers! I love them all. I've never seen a cupcake holder like that one - very creative! The bear card stole my heart - she's adorable! Hadn't thought to use the dress cut-out for a change of address. I love the doily cut-out on the True Friend card. Hard to choose a winner, but I'd have to go with the bear pinwheel card as I think she is just soo sweet!
ReplyDeleteAll the projects are beautiful but the cup cake holder is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI think they ALL deserve glimmer paper!! But if I had to choose, I'd throw my vote in with Sunshine and go with the cupcake holder! What talented ladies!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lydia - they ALL deserve glimmer paper! However, Barb's True Friend card get's my vote. Fabulous job, ladies!
ReplyDeleteanother vote for Barb's card, but they're all fantastic cards!

ReplyDeleteAll of the projects are great, but I love the cupcake holder.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's hard to pick a favorite because they are all so clever! I agree with Lydia that they all deserve glimmer paper. But if I have to pick a winner, I think I have to go with the Change of A-dress card. I just thought that was so creative.
ReplyDeleteReally great entries! It's hard to choose but I really like the True Friend card! The doily cut from the DSP looks great and the 2 little pearls on the button are a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteWell done for all your ladies! Thanks for sharing!
I really like the change of address card with the double embossing! Limi
ReplyDeleteFabulous entries and so difficult to choose! I'll go with the bear and the pinwheel - so cute!
ReplyDeleteI think the pinwheel card is very cute--taht would be my pick but they are all great!!
ReplyDeleteWhile the cards are great, I adore the colorful cupcake holder so it gets my vote!
ReplyDeleteI really like the True Friend card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous job everyone did! All the cards are absolutely gorgeous! It certainly is tough to pick just one! My vote goes to Annette's cupcake holder. Simply because it's a card AND it's a gift! Love it! Thanks for sharing!

All very pretty but I have to vote for Nancy's change of address card. I just ordered that die 5 minutes ago - so I may be biased! Well done to all your team. X
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous job they all did! It was hard to choose, but Annette's cupcake holder gets my vote. :)
ReplyDeleteoh my, what a hard choice! I loved each entry but am going to have to go with the change of ad"dress" card from Nancy! The cupcake holder is also adorable but I could only vote once so.....had to go with Nancy. Hope you don't mind but I "re-blogged" your contest entry so maybe some of my regular blog followers will help you decide.
ReplyDeleteThis is a hard choice. I'm a sucker for 3D items, so I will choose the cupcake holder. Your customers are all very talented.
ReplyDeleteThey all did a great job! It's hard to choose a favorite! My vote goes to the pinwheel card!
ReplyDeleteI choose the cupcake holder for first place and true friend as second place:) What a fun challenge!!
ReplyDeletethey are all fabulous... but id have to go with the cupcake holder for first place. i love that you got entirely different projects from the same set of goodies. what a great way to showcase the flexibility of the items
ReplyDeleteAll the projects great. My favorite is the pinwheel bear.
ReplyDeleteI like Barb's card. Simple and clean. All of them are adorable though!!!! The cupcake holder is great too!!!!! Oh gosh, can I vote for all of them???
ReplyDeleteI love the clean and simple layout and the color combo of Barb's True Friend card, so that one gets my vote. But all the creations are wonderful. What talented stampers!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, these are fantastic! Love this challenge and love what they made! If forced to choose, I'd go with the cupcake holder but I really don't want to choose. They are all amazing in their own way!
ReplyDeleteAll wonderful!!! But I am going to go with the cupcake holder!! Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a challenge! Everyone is great, partial to the build a bear, but I think I will have to go with the cupcake holder (even though it is minus the cupcake )
ReplyDeleteWhat a hard choice! They are all amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love the mink stole with the dress and the bear and pinwheel is so creative, but my favorite is the cupcake holder. It all matches perfectly!
great cards and projects! my fav is the cupcake holder!
ReplyDeleteThey are all fabulous, but my fave is the dress. :)
ReplyDeleteThey all are great. I do think the cupcake holder is the most out of the box one, the bear is adorable, the doily adds interest and the double embossing is a cool touch. Cupcake holder gets my vote, if I must chose.

Okay. WOW!!! Barbara - you have some wickedly talented stampers. Waving :::: hello :::: to all of them. I am the crazy lady in Minnesota who sends Barbara cards every now and again. I am going to pretend this is project runway... I will call it paper runway.
ReplyDeleteStamper #1 Annette - your design shows great composition and symmetry. It is crisp and elegant.
Stamper #2 Nancy - she is one punny gal. *wink* Looking beyond her humor I see a lovely use of texture and the edge of the dress brings in movement.
Stamper #3 Cathy - I would describe your project as whimsical. That bear is certainly stylish and who doesn't love a pinwheel!
Stamper #4 Barb - Your design is classic and the recipient would certainly be honored with the reference of "true friend".
Ladies . . . you all are winners in my book. (drumroll please) Without further ado . . . I put the tiara on Annette. Ladies, a cupcake wins EVERYTIME with me. :)
Seriously . . . well done! You must have a wonderful teacher!!!
The cupcake card - I love anything and everything involving cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteGreat job to all of you ladies! I'm partial to the change of address card myself.
ReplyDeleteWhile each project had something I really liked, I have to go with the cupcake holder for my vote! Your stampers all did a great job with your challenge!

ReplyDeleteI have to choose the cupcake holder. Love the colors!!
ReplyDeleteLove all of them, but Cathy's pinwheel card gets my vote. I love the use of the DSP and the little details...like the DSP on the button. It is such a fun card!
ReplyDeleteThey are all wonderful, but my favorite is the cupcake holder.
ReplyDeleteI like the True Friend card. The ink distressing is so subtle yet very pretty. I love the doily too!
ReplyDeleteOh boy...this is a tough one. They all are very cute. My vote has changed several times, but I'm going with "True Friend."
