Secret Stampin' Sisters has started!
We have officially started Secret Stampin' Sisters with 8 members making at least one card a month for 3 months and sending them to their SSS. Each member got their sister's name in a box made with the new Gift Board Punch Box which they will fill with a stampin' related goodie to give to the SSS when we meet at the end. This is going to be so much fun! I can not wait to get me first card and in fact I think I will go up to the Stampin' Sanctuary and make one to send out right now!
Look at the mess behind those boxes, maybe I will have to do a little cleaning before I can actually stamp!

Jacob the Peacock
I live in New Richmond, or actually up the hill from New Richmond and down by the Ohio River lives Jacob the peacock. I am not sure where Jacob came from but he wanders around the whole village at his leisure posing for photos and occasionally pecking a kid or two. He does not like kids looking him at eye level, he is a male after all and he thinks he needs to protect his harem of ducks and geese who also are down by the river.
I made this card using the Peacock single stamp and the Works of Art stamp set. I think I like how it turned out, I think I would have liked it better if the colors had been more of a jewel tone. Maybe next time. I softened the edges with my Aquapainter and that really softened up the card. The ribbon is the new Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin Ribbon, seriously easy to tie and so beautiful.

August Paper Pumpkin Spoiler Alert!!!
I got my August Paper Pumpkin Kit today and it is adorable! Sure hope they have refills for this one!
Don't look any further if you want to be surprised I had to make 2 cards right away!
The first card is one to send to my cousin who is recovering from surgery and went together in just a couple of minutes.
The second card is a smaller card it measures about 2 1/4" by 3 1/4" and would be so cute to go with a gift bag. I made this one a little differently than the directions you get with the kit. I enclosed the sequins and a few Coastal Cabana hearts form the InColor Sequins inside of a couple of pieces of Window Sheets. Kind of a quickie shaker card.
